Where do I start to pay tribute to a brother, uncle and great uncle who was always there at the moments that mattered

As a brother:

-when I failed my A level maths and he willingly tutored me each week to a pass a year later

-who gave me away at my wedding after dad died 6 months before

-who sat with me in the hospital the night mum died and we both held hers and each other’s hands

-who taught Rick to do plumbing and electric wiring to keep costs down as newly weds in a run down house

and much much more!

He was such a gentle and loving character with a wicked sense of humour and our memories are so many. Sarah and Anna have such fond memories of the summer holidays and spending days out and him teasing them.

You will always be with us, sleep well “Day”
